Life 2.0 Orientation Workshop
The first step to navigating the next phase of you is to orient yourself for the journey ahead. While our Life 2.0 planning program is designed to help you develop a ‘map’ for your next phase of life, our orientation phase is where you make sure your ‘compass’ is ready as well. During this workshop we’ll be helping you get clearer about who you are, what motivates you and how you prefer to engage with the world around you. Like a compass, it will help you navigate the journey ahead by helping you make decisions about your Life 2.0 journey in ways that are consistent with your values and designed to maximize your energy to reward ratio.
Prior to the workshop, you’ll be asked to go through our ‘Strengths and Values Assessment’ process.
Then we’ll meet with you and a handful of others to go through the workshop itself, led by our founder, Frank DuMar. Here’s an overview of what to expect:
Session 1:
We’ll help you interpret your ‘Strengths and Values Assessment’ and walk you through some additional exercises designed to bring clarity around the unique ways you prefer to engage with the world around you.
Session 2:
We will be taking the insights you gained from session 1 to help you create your personal ‘compass’; A simple, one page document, that will help you to plan and navigate your Life 2.0 journey in a way that aligns who you are and what you value.
Life 2.0 Assessment & Planning Program
Our Life 2.0 Program is a comprehensive life assessment and planning program designed to help you prepare for the next phase of your late career or post career journey.
During the program, we will guide you through the process of assessing and then building a plan to address these 12 life focus areas:
- Selfhood & Identity
- Relationships
- Community
- Learning
- Work/Vocation
- Play
- Legacy, Impact & Purpose
- Health & Wellness
- Home & Place
- Financial Wellness
- Spirituality
- Giving/Service
Also included with the program is our ‘Life Orientation’ workshop, which we suggest participants before starting the life assessment and planning program.
From beginning to end, the program takes from 16 to 20 weeks but is designed to allow you to pause and resume the program if life events force you to take a break.
The program consists of three primary elements:
- Core Meetings: Every other Tuesday Night, 6:30-8:00 pm (EST). Our core meetings are live meetings where we provide guided instruction and conversations around the targeted life focus areas for that month. These are the meetings we encourage everyone to attend. Our core meetings are hosted by our Founder, Frank DuMar as well as your team coach, who will be working with you as part of a small group of 6-8 participants through the program.
- Workbook Exercises: A significant aspect of the program is taking the time to go through the exercises in our program workbook. These are designed to help focus your awareness and attention in a way that naturally helps you assess your life and move you towards creating a successful life 2.0 plan. To get the most from the program, we suggest you budget about one hour a week to spend on workbook exercises.
- Optional Meetings: Alternate Tuesday Nights between Core Meetings, 6:30-8:00 pm (EST). Our optional meetings are designed to provide you additional guidance and support if and when you need it. These meetings are less structured and more interactive. They are driven by the questions and requests of those participants attending the meeting. These are usually hosted by one of our team coaches. Your team coach may or may not be in attendance during the optional meetings based on their schedules.
